Unity Bug

Class Definition Graphs Menu not showing on multi monitor setup

MegaMiley 1 year ago updated by Lazlo Bonin (Lead Developer) 1 year ago 1

After creating a Class Definition I put the Class Explorer window int he bottom left of my editor.

The editor itself is in the middle of my 3 monitors (2 4K on the side and 1 UHD in the center, different aspect ratios and resolutions in case it matters).

When I try to click the + button on the Graphs menu Unity acts as if a window is shown and loses focus but then doesn't show the window. This does not happen when I put my Editor to the far right screen or if I switch to windowed mode. It only seems to happen when the editor is in full-screen on a screen with a second screen right next to it where the menu would show itself.

This only seems to happen on the center UHD screen. This screen is 3440x1440, the screen to the right of it is 3840x2160. When I put the editor in full-screen on my left 4K monitor (same exact model as the other one) it works fine. It's just the UHD screen which is my main screen for Unity

Unity Bug

Hi MegaMiley,

Thanks for the report. Bolt doesn't do any kind of special positioning code for the Explorer window or its Create dialog. We're just using plain old Unity editor windows and the EditorUtility.SaveFilePanelInProject from their API. I suggest reporting this as a bug from the Unity bug reporter.

In the mean time, as a potential workaround, you could try resetting your editor layout and see if that helps. Maybe the save file dialog position got pushed and serialized as off-screen somehow; that could maybe fix it.
