fps weapon animation

Hi folks,

I'm very new to Bolt and Unity.

I am tinkering with FPS controller and I've followed the FPS controller video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-l4bn4NPdo

I have knife with an animated stabbing action created in blender.

1 - I'm not sure what best practice is to show the knife in the camera view.

Do I parent it to the empty that the camera is parented to?
Do I eliminate the empty and make the weapon "the player" instead of having an empty?

2 - What do I attach the flowgraph to for the movement? The empty? The knife?
3 - How do I trigger the animation for the knife?
