Feature Request: Use Count of Variables/References

Greg Araya 1 year ago updated by Lazlo Bonin (Lead Developer) 1 year ago 1

Does Bolt keep a tally of how many times variables are used, the way Playmaker does? I tend to throw a lot of things into a graph when I'm prototyping and then optimize it after I get it working just right. This usually includes deleting orphaned variables. A use count in the Variables script inspector would help a lot with this.

Hi Greg,

Bolt doesn't keep a tally and I'm aware that keeping track of your variables is cumbersome.

We're overhauling the entire variable system in Bolt 2 so that this shouldn't be a problem anymore. I apologize for the clunky UX in the mean time.
