Error in existing project. What has happend?

eagleeyez 4 years ago updated by Lazlo Bonin (Lead Developer) 4 years ago 8

In a new project no problem, but after importing Bolt into an existing project I get this.

Bolt Version:
Unity Version:
Scripting Backend:
.NET Version (API Compatibility Level):

What does the log files say?

I asked Lazlo about this myself to confirm what I thought.  Those are not necessarily errors. they will display check or x based on the assets in your project. So the x's should relate to no documentation to generate in those categories. I will link to his explanation in a moment.

Take a look here as well, may be related.  http://support.ludiq.io/topics/232-documentation-generator-error/#comment-379

Specially my question and his response-

Q As someone who is not as code savvy as you, can you explain why each has two passes. I assume it is not as simple as it doing each 2 times for thoroughness but is each meant for something different?

R Glad you got it working! So the Mono update was the solution on Mac.

The different passes refer to Unity's script compilation order:  https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/ScriptCompileOrderFolders.html

The equivalent of these in Bolt is:

  • Phase 1: Runtime (First Pass)
  • Phase 2: Editor (First Pass)
  • Phase 3: Runtime (Second Pass)
  • Phase 4: Editor (Second Pass)

You may not have all of these depending on how your project is setup.

Ok, thanks all. I will take a look in the morning as I have to watch some TV now.

And Elin the Log files are longer than my granny's chin hairs and they are very long indeed.

Both I do not understand.

Leave the logs to me! ;) I can make sense of them.

Hi eagleeyez,

Did you get a change to look at the logs? Would love to fix this for you!

No bother, In the new version all is roger, thanks. And I think it had something to do with Playmaker. Throwen that away now.
