Application variable not resetting when exiting play mode

Hey there, just tested this on a fresh project and it seems like when I remove an item from a List<string> application variable via a script, the variable isn't reset when exiting play mode.

Seems to be fine when I make a build though.


  1. Create an application variable with the type "List of string"
  2. Add a bunch of strings
  3. Remove items during play mode via script
  4. Exit play mode

Confirmed, that's very troublesome! I'll have a look at what's causing it, seems like the list reference stays the same.
