Subject: Utility of "Bolt" for my project.

Hello,

I contact you to asking if your package is usefull for my game project who I describe here.
Ihave already begin to work on and I am avanced on some parts of the game like the UI, the assets, the levels and more but it is one more thing I need to make and I have no ideas to how make it myself.

I explain:

My game is a "Card-Based 3D turn-based Strategy Game".
It mean that on the begin of the turn, the player play a card of its hand into its card-play area and thus the creature of the card appear in the deploy zone of the player in a 3D level. After, the player can move its creature in the 3D level and use the environnement and the capacity of the card/creature to make its strategy and beat the other player.
I consider too to purchase a "CCG" tool for cards creating and mix the two tools for avancing if it possible.

My question and problem is this:

I can't code, I am a zero in this. Thus, can I use your package to:
1) Make the cards necessery for the game.
2) Make a deck-building menu.
Important => 3) Make when the card is played, it make the creature appear in the deploy area of the level.
4) Possibly upgrade the cards when level-up.
5) Equip/attach cards with others cards to upgrade the capacity of the original card. (like play a weapon card on a creature)
6) Play effects card who influence the 3D level, like.... hum "Rain" to make hit harder of some of this sort of things.

Sorry for all of this questions but I am not rich and not very good as coder and I must be assured I can made all this before buying. In the worst, if I can made just some of this, I view and thinking and made a decision for purchase.

Thanks anyway,
RedsWar.

Hi,
I think you can do everything with bolt. There are very little limitations. The thing is, that you have to "code" everything visually with bolt. Bolt is very similar to real programming. You don't have premade blocks that do one or another task.
Bolt is easier than coding normaly, because you don't have to take care of the syntax. It helps a lot.

Take a look at the tutorials written here from Lazlo or an youtube. There you can get a better idea how it is to work with bolt.

Hope this helps you!

Hi RedsWar,

Ingo is right, everything you mention is possible in Bolt because every type of game can be made using Bolt. However, there are no "pre-made" actions for the items on your list, so you'll have to think of the logic to implement them yourself.
