Setting a vector 3 component outputs a float not a vector 3

using set x/y/z returns the applied float, not he vector 3 with it's new value

current workaround but don't really want to be creating new vector 3s all the time

That's not really a bug, it's how structs behave, even in C# you'd have to create a new Vector3 in most cases, because structs are copied (value types). If you need to do this very often, you can create a super unit with your workaround.
