Lost Bolt windows

Hi, just started with Bolt and while arranging the 3 Bolt windows to my second monitor, they've disappeared. I can't see or select them. Is there a way to restore their original location? Restarting Unity and resetting the Unity layout doesn't help.

Hi Daz! Welcome to the community :)

Sorry you're having this issue. Resetting the window layout is usually the way to go, because Bolt windows are just normal editor windows. Are you getting any error in the console?

This user had a similar issue, and it ended up that they had just placed the windows out of sight:

Could it be your problem too?

No errors were shown.

I've done a bit of experimenting and it seems to be a bug with multiple displays with Unity and Windows 10 rather than Bolt.

I have 2 monitors at different resolutions and scales. If Unity and the Bolt windows are on the same display, they display correctly. But if I move Bolt or any other window over to my second monitor, it's scale and position change incorrectly, and can even move off screen so as to disappear. Once they're off the edge of the screen, you can't get them back and resetting the layout doesn't help.

So anyone else having this problem -> to get your lost windows back move your main Unity application to the same display as the windows that have vanished, and then reset layout. All the Unity windows will return to their normal size and position.

If they were the same scale it would probably work fine. I might just have to work with one monitor.

Odd bug, but I'm glad you found a workaround!
