AnimationEvents should have a target

Unless I've misunderstood something, AnimationEvents can only be triggered if the graph is attached to the object with the Animator.

Shouldn't AnimationEvent and NamedAnimationEvent then have a target input (similar to CustomEvents)?

it would be handy, but what i did is just receive it and translate it into custom event and send it where I want it

Because of the way they are implemented right now, animation events are machine-bound, like Update or Start. However looking at the source I don't see a specific reason for this limitation, they could indeed be GameObject-bound and have a remote target. I'll add this to the roadmap, however it won't be a priority because you can easily work around it (e.g. by forwarding the event with a Custom Event).
