Auto Clear Errors

Just a little thing.

Would be real awesome if a red errored out unit when entered and no longer throws an error, would clear itself, instead of needing to clear the whole graph.

Not sure if I'm missing a reason it's good to stick around for.

Hi Jason!

The reason is that if they auto-cleared, you might miss some.

For example, what if a unit throws an error during one Update, but no longer throws it the frame after? Its error would be lost after 1/60th of a second, giving you no time to debug at all.

Unless you have some other kind of detection in mind?

Nope, just didn't particularly think of that reasoning. Totally right on that one though.

I work with control systems, and one of the things they use is the concept of alarms.  When an items goes into alarm, it appears in the window, and they get an alert.  But these systems are running for days and months at a time, so they have to be able to get rid of them somehow.

Perhaps just a button to "clear" an error.  It just flips off the red, turning red if the error happens again

In the toolbar, there's a Clear Errors button!

Oh wow.

I've used this thing daily for a year and never noticed that.

I'm blind when it comes to noticing things, just ask my wife.  Well, thanks!  You're, what, a year ahead of me? :-D
