There's always some risk of bugs in alpha / beta versions (especially with the refactor in v.1.2.4). I would suggest using alpha / beta versions only in projects that aren't in production (or, if you must absolutely, definitely make a backup of your project before installing).

That being said, it really helps to have users install the alphas and betas. It makes it easy to catch bugs before they hit the "masses" of the asset store, and I really appreciate the community's help with this!
