Cannot Fix

Hi Nefisto,

Thanks for the report and sorry you're experiencing this issue.

I investigated and I believe this is a design constraint of the new input system window. This window must always be linked to an asset (the Input Actions asset), and it's always opened via the "Edit Asset" button in that asset's inspector. This is when the linking happens.

Peek's tabs open the window without that context/linking happening, because it opens it without clicking the "Edit Asset" button from the Input Actions asset. Unfortunately, the window just fails to render instead of asking for an asset to use, because Unity did not foresee that a third-party plugin could want to open it independently.

This is also why Unity doesn't add this window in the "Windows" menu; you have to open it from the input actions asset, it's the only way for it to work. It's a special window in that sense.

As far as I'm aware then, there's nothing I can do to fix this particular issue on my end, I apologize.
