GUI Error you are pushing more GUIClips that you are popping

Andrew Scott 12 months ago updated 11 months ago 7

I am in full scene mode, with pop up windows and when I create a folder in my Project. I am seeing the following error. Not sure if this is Peek or Unity, but I don't see this in any projects that don't have Peek installed.

GUI Error: You are pushing more GUIClips than you are popping. Make sure they are balanced.
UnityEngine.GUIUtility:ProcessEvent(Int32, IntPtr)

Unity Version:
2019.3.0b9
Peek Version:
1.1.5

Dear Andrew,

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. I tried to reproduce this error on a blank project, but I could not. Could you provide me with some reproduction steps.

Best,

Hasan from Ludiq

It seems to pop up when I am in Full Scene mode and pop open the project window and create a new folder. Or If I use the project pop up, to open the menu sprite->Create Sprite->Circle or Square.

It seems to more in Full Scene mode than not.

If it helps, I got this again, but I had to press Play in Full Scene and then stop and then create a folder.

Cannot Reproduce

Hi Andrew,

I tried to reproduce this on my end with the steps you described but I couldn't.

Please let me know if there is any more information that would help us isolate the bug.

Here's a video of my attempt:

(Not shown: I also tried creating new items after exiting play mode, but it didn't cause an issue).

Yeah, looks like the latest patch for that version of Unity is no longer doing it, so it may have been a Unity issue.

Well I was able to see it again today, will see if I can find a way to reproduce it.
