Children not affected

I'm new to Chronos so please bear with me. I'm able to affect an object if I give it the timeline component, but I have some objects that have many children, and children of children.

Does every single child of my object need to have the timeline component? It seems that if simply give the parent object the component, the children are not affected. This is a bit inconvenient, is there a way to recursively affect children without having to go into each and give them their own timeline?
